KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) — Montana Democratic Sen. Jon Tester is defending stimulus spending as necessary at the time to build infrastructure and put people to the work, while Republican Rep. Denny Rehberg trashed it as unnecessary spending. Both candidates debated last night in Kalispell. The two are engaged in one of the tightest Senate races in the country. Yesterday's debate also included Libertarian candidate Dan Cox, who is polling in the single digits. Cox was critical of both candidates.
