Water EMERGENCY Declared In Fairfield!

The Fairfield Public Works Department's identified a CRITICAL water shortage in the wells. As a result, IMMEDIATE water restrictions are NOW in place for ALL water users. Until further notice, commercial  & residential lawn watering is strictly prohibited. No handheld or hose watering, washing vehicles at residential properties & filling pools or hot tubs. The Fairfield town pool may ONLY be filled for fire suppression purposes. using pressure washers or hoses to clean exterior structures of pavement, utilizing private wells for watering while the town's under water restrictions is prohibited & will be considered a violation! Don't worry about a thing, but violators will have their water service shut off with a $100 fine with service restored only upon payment! Now, that IS something to worry about.
