I don't know either, but at one time or another, he said, "The ultimate goal of farming is not the growing of crops, but the cultivation & the perfection of human beings." Makes sense to me, & with this week (2/28-2/25) being National FFA Week throughout the nation, & right here in our Golden Triangle, it rings true. The Shelby FFA free breakfast is tomorrow (Thurs) morning from 8, to 10, at the Shelby High School Ag Building. If you're a farmer, rancher, or like all of us, a FFA supporter, come on over for some good grub & good fellowship. By the way, you'll no doubt see some official FFA jackets while you're there, & that jacket was adopted back in 1933, & hasn't changed a whole heck of a lot since then. I wouldn't be surprised if Masanobu Fukuoka, wasn't donning one of those blue & gold jackets when he spoke of the real goal of farming.
