This Montana Old-Timer Did It All & Then Some…
"Horn's" the name, Adam "Horn" Miller, an elderly prospector who regaled children with stories of his exploits. The old-timer was a crack shot, champion boxer, scout, trapper, miner & not a man to be crossed. Horn was a trapper, fur-trader, prospector, Army scout & a riverboat bare-knuckle champion. He worked for a short time at Denver's first iron foundry, prospected in Colorado, mined silver in Nevada, & dug gold in California--all before heading up here to the Montana gold fields at barely 25 years of age. Tomorrow (Sat) morning at 7:30, on Puff Man Sports Trivia, you'll have the opportunity to WIN the book, Horn: The Life & Times of a Pioneer Prospector," by Frederick L. Woody, an artist & educator at the University of Montana. Check this baby out from Archway Publishing, at www.archwaypublishing.com, & then be the 1st caller in with the correct answer to my sports trivia question, & you'll win the book. *Up to this point in time, the biggest book I've ever gave away was 697 pages. Jump back, Jack! This one weighs in at 794 pages! I don't see how Puff Man Sports Trivia, can get any heavier...
