Our KSEN/K96--Bozeman Trophy Athletes of the Week turned in All-Star performances last weekend, just when they needed them most.

Male Athlete of the Week honors go to Conrad Sr. Running Back Roscoe Shaw.  In a game that was critical for Conrad to win to keep their playoff hopes alive, Shaw did everything imaginable from beginning to end to help the Cowboys win. He didn't take long to set the pace, after two, not-so productive plays on the opening possession, Shaw took a handoff, off tackle and with a big opening, turned on the jets and went 66-yards for the 1st score of the game. The 215-lb speedster followed with a 19-yard score early in the 2nd and then a 6-yard TD catch from Chris Graham later in the 2nd and two short TD runs in the 4th that sealed the victory for the Cowboys. Roscoe carried the ball 12 times for 151 yards and oh yeah, he had an interception that was almost returned for a TD and a forced fumble on defense.   According to Max Preps, Shaw is in the top 5 for rushing yards in all of Class B Football.

There's not that many numbers to describe our Female Athlete of the Week, but the one that counts, 19:46.24, was described as "impressive," by Shelby X-Country Coach Caydon Keller.  So. Aeris Stewart is an All-State runner having finished 3rd in the State B Meet last year and she appears to be in contention for a top finish again this season. The time we mentioned gave Aeris a 2nd place finish at a large meet in Harlem last week.  The timing was perfect with this year's State Meet coming up Saturday at the UM Golf Course in Missoula.

We also had nominations this week for CJI QB Ryland St. John who ran and passed for over 180-yards in the Hawks victory and Nate Nelson who had 4 TD's and 150 yards CJI.

Congratulations to our KSEN/K96--Bozeman Trophy Athletes of the Week, So. Aeris Stewart of Shelby and Sr. Roscoe Shaw of Conrad.  The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald's in Cut Bank. McDonald's honors our Athlete's with two free value meals each.
