IT’S BEEN OVER A MONTH AND A HALF NOW SINCE WE HAD THE OPPORTUNTY TO WATCH AND TALK ABOUT H.S. SPORTS BUT THAT TIME HAS FINALLY RETURNED WITH THE START OF THE H.S. BASKETBALL AND WRESTLING SEASON.

6-FOOT SR. OLIVIA ISAKSON CAME OUT STRONG ON THE OPENING NIGHT OF THE SEASON WITH ONE OF ONLY A FEW 20-POINT GAMES FOR THE GIRLS ACROSS THE STATE.

THE LADY ELKS FOUND THEMSELVES DOWN EARLY IN THE CONTEST WITH SUNBURST BUT WERE ABLE TO “STEP IT UP WHEN THEY NEEDED TO ACCORDING TO 2ND YEAR HEAD COACH KEZIA ALLEN. SHE SAYS HER STAR SR. STEPPED IT UP AND “PLAYED A LEADERSHIP ROLE,” TO BRING THE ELKS BACK TO A 66-57 WIN OVER SUNBURST.
