Our KSEN/K96--Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week had only one thing to say, after the team finished a very respectable 4th place at the State "C" girls Basketball Tournament.  "we'll get back to work this summer and get it done next year."
CJI Head Coach Jordan Miller says that was about all "Jr. standout Brynn Kammerzell, said after The Hawks lost to Scobey by two and finished in 4th place. They wanted more and Kammerzell certainly had a tournament to remember!
The All-State forward-post star averaged more than 19 points and over 10-rebounds per game against the best teams in the state.  Her shooting was phenomenal with 52% from two-point range and 43% from three-point range.  She also hit 15-17 from the free throw line, in the 4 games.
The Hawk suffered a major setback when Jr. point guard and top defender Brie Mattson went down with an injury.  Coach Miller says Brynn "stepped it up another notch and just had a great State Tournament."  She added that it was not just offense and defense, but she was an exceptional leader during our timeouts, in between quarters and in the locker room.
Congratulations to our KSEN/K96--Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week, Jr. Brynn Kammerzell, of the CJI Hawks. The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald's in Cut Bank. McDonald's honors our Athlete's with two free value meals.
We take a break for the next two weeks, but don't forget to nominate an Athlete of the Week in the upcoming Spring Sports. Email: markdaniels@townsquaremedia.com or call 406-434-5241.
