KSEN Athlete of the Week 11-26-25
Our KSEN/K96--Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week is a Streit repeat.
We want to spread the accolades around for the CJI State Championship Football Team, but it has to start with Cooper Streit, one of two Senior leaders who did just about everything you could think of in the Hawks win in the Championship game over Winnett/Grass Range 46-38 in overtime. The numbers show Cooper carried the ball 21 times for 12o yards and 2 Touchdowns, which was especially evident in the 2nd half when the Hawks running game turned the whole thing around. Streit had 5 receptions for 61 yards and 3 more Touchdowns. He had 11 tackles on defense, one for a loss and 2 interceptions. That 2nd interception was a game winner for the Hawks in Overtime.
Q: broke my collarbone...........News audio.............Cooper Streit. Cooper is always one of the first to shower praise on his teammates and we wanted to do the same. Sr. QB Ryland St. John, the field leader with his pinpoint passes and running and the sack leader on defense
So. Levi Nelson....his speed and extra-point kicks were undeniably critical. Jr. Dane Grammar, speaking of kicks, almost never allowing a return along with his blocking and pass rushing are huge. Ryan Ramberg, an exceptional pass defender and tackler who also seems to show up out of nowhere when the Hawks need an open receiver. Jaxson Buffington who shotgun snaps are always on target and defensive end Blake Johnson who knows how to get to the legs and bring a runner down. And of course, putting it all together, 20-year Head Coach Jim Vinson and his assistants Willie Miller and Tanner Diede.
Congratulations to our KSEN/K96 - Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week, Sr. Cooper Streit and the State Champion CJI Hawks. The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald's in Cut Bank. McDonald's honors our athlete's with two free value meals.
