BOZEMAN — The Montana State University Bobcats will host the University of Idaho Vandals at Bobcat Stadium at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, in the quarterfinals of the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs.
The top-ranked Bobcats will look to continue an undefeated season in which they have won 13 straight games. Montana State finished the regular season as Big Sky Conference champions and earned a first-round playoff bye. They then defeated the University of Tennessee, Martin on Dec. 7 by a score of 49-17 in the playoffs’ second round.
Idaho is the No. 8 national seed, advancing to the quarterfinal after beating Lehigh 34-13 in the second round. Friday will be the second time the Bobcats and Vandals have faced off this season: Montana State won an in-conference matchup in October by a score of 38-7.
The winner of Friday’s game will advance to the FCS semifinals and play the winner of the Dec. 14 quarterfinal game between the No. 4 University of South Dakota and the No. 5 University of California, Davis.
