"Protect our forests, protect our animals." I'm all about that as I'm sure most of us here in Montana are. But with that being said, we can all think of an animal or plant that just has to go - like, "burn it with fire" type of energy.
Throw in the safety of Montana crops and ecosystem? Shoot, bust out the flamethrower.
Plants & Animals You Need To Worry About In Montana
If you've hung out with me before or read my recent story about it, you probably know that I am terrified (probably irrationally) of encountering a grizzly bear in the wild.
While that might be something a select group of people would have to worry about under certain circumstances, there are far greater threats out there that have much bigger implications on the way we live.
Because let's get real with one another for a sec: If I got eaten by a bear tomorrow, the state's grain production wouldn't come to a screeching halt. As a matter of fact, a bear enjoying himself some Chris with a side of tree branch wouldn't put a dent in any market.

But there are several creatures and plants that could do some real damage and harm to Montana, especially its farmers.
Invasive Species And The Impact On Montana's Ecosystem
A report from Montana Invasive Species estimates that invasive mussels alone could cause more than $234 million in damages a year if left unchecked. Thankfully, mitigation efforts have been put into place and the people of Montana have remained vigilant in keeping most of these invasive species out of our state.
