Montana Is One Of The Most Patriotic States In America

I wasn't terribly surprised to find a recent study from WalletHub ranking Montana among some of the most patriotic states in America.

Needless to say, patriotism in Montana looks like a pretty common trend.

If you've spent any amount of time in Montana, it's pretty clear that the treasure state truly bleeds red, white, and blue.

I can hardly think of a city that doesn't have some sort of Fourth of July celebration and goes all out to showcase what makes this nation so great.

What Makes A State Patriotic

To break down the most patriotic states in America, WalletHub compared a couple of different metrics.

Those two metrics were Military Engagement and Civic Engagement.

Military engagement was worth a total of 25 points, and civic engagement was worth 75.

These categories were broken down further for the study.

The study shows that Montana had a very large voter turnout for the 2020 presidential election, with nearly 75% of the voting population turning out to submit their ballots.

That may not seem like much, but compared to the rest of the nation, it's pretty good.

A number of Montanans also volunteer for the Peace Corps, Americorps, and various other organizations, which added to the study.

And let's not forget about our veterans.

Believe it or not, Montana has 104 veterans for every 1000 civilians.
