For many outdoor enthusiasts in Montana, the annual Banff Mountain Film Festival is a highlight of the year. Checking films from across the world that showcase not just breathtaking outdoor locations, but also attention to the essence of film itself.
But if you missed that annual event last month in Great Falls, outdoor film fans have a second chance at seeing some exhilarating outdoor films coming this spring to 5 different locations to give everyone a chance to see them.

How to See Mountainfilm on Tour This Spring in Montana
Each Memorial weekend, the Mountainfilm on Tour Festival is held in Telluride, Colorado. It features short film documentaries from around the world "full of breathtaking scenery and indomitable spirit that explore themes connected to Mountainfilm’s mission of using the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world".

The film tour is brought to Montana in conjunction with the Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation. All proceeds from the festival will help benefit the trails system in the Bob, as well as habitat restoration projects within the area.
Coming Soon to a Theatre Near You in Montana this Spring
The tour in Montana will hit 5 different locations around the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex beginning in Helena on March 11, 2026, at the Myrna Loy Theatre. Other locations across the state include:
- March 12th at the O'Shaughnessy Center
- March 13th at the Roxy Theatre in Choteau
- March 22nd at the MCT Center for Performing Arts in Missoula
- April 3rd at the Center for Performing Arts in Bigfork
All shows are scheduled to begin with doors opening at 6pm and films beginning at 7pm each night. Tickets for the event each night are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. You can purchase advance tickets for any of the venues here.
