Riding 2,000 miles on horseback from Montana, to New Mexico, sounds like a crazy but thrilling dream, or pure hardship and exhaustion. According to Bernice Ende, the trip was all that and more! Since swinging her leg over the saddle for that first long ride in 2005 (at the age of 51), Bernice, has logged more than 29,000 in the saddle, crisscrossing North America on horseback-ALONE! Tomorrow (Sat) morning on Puff Man Sports Trivia, I'll have Bernice's book, "Lady Long Rider," up for grabs. Be the first caller in with the correct answer to my sports trivia question, and you'll WIN the book. You'll want to check out the book from Farcountry Press, at www.farcountrypress.com, and then get ready to be the 7:30 WINNER Saturday morning on Puff Man Sports Trivia. By the way, Bernice, who lives in Trego, Montana, these days, has a blog (too) where you can follow her travels at www.endofthetrail.com. In the meantime, she's 72, now, & if she can do it, I'm going to try it myself next summer...
