This is probably the 1st time that I have ever been accused of "being grounded". I was looking forward to riding in the B-176 Sentimental Journey bomber plane earlier today (Monday) over at our Cut Bank International Airport. Unfortunately, due to this morning's high winds, today's flights are delayed until Wednesday afternoon. The good news is, that this beautiful flying machine will remain here until Thursday...it's visit being extended one day. And, even more good news, the plane IS open for tours all day today until 6 tonight, with tours also being available tomorrow, Wednesday, AND Thursday. I did have an opportunity to go through this 4 engine bomber, built back in 1945 & still in mint condition! I had no idea what the inside of one of these looked like or was like beside inside, & what an experience. Go check it out! School tours, along with flight rides, are still available. Come on out & visit this WWII bomber & get an idea what it was like back in the 40's. Where does the plane live, when it's not up here in Cut Bank? The Commemorative Air Force Wing Museum in Mesa, Arizona is where. We are so fortunate to have this piece of military flying equipment honoring our all Veterans with us this week. Thanks to, to the sponsors: Edward D. Jones, Alme Construction, Auto Tune Muffler, & the Cut Bank Chamber of Commerce. For more information, call Roy at 450 1078. Don't miss this unique opportunity to see one of the most important aircraft of WWII. And be sure & check out the picture of Betty Grable on the side of the plane. And yes, the plane is even MORE beautiful than her picture!
