KSEN/K96 Athlete of the Week
We have a 2nd presentation of our KSEN/K96 Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week, naming a Female Athlete of the Week, who we had selected but we didn't have all of the needed information. KSEN/K96 Bozeman Trophy Female Athlete of the Week honors go to Fairfield senior Rylie Schenk.
Rylie plays on a team that wins a lot and most of the time they do it with a real balanced scoring attack. In the Eagles matchup with rival Belt, usually, among the two best teams in their District and Division, Rylie, led the way with 15 points and 8 rebounds. She shot 100-percent from 3-point range and 50-percent on twos. Also 7-10 from the Charity stripe. Fairfield lost that game by one point, but still, they remain undefeated in the 1B at 10-0 and 11-3 overall.
The Eagles bounced right back and beat conference foe Chinook. Rylie scored 8 points and had 7 rebounds. Fairfield Head Coach Travis Schenk says Rylie has been a leader all season and her basketball IQ and versatility allow us to play her at any position on the floor. She can play the point on offense and guard the big players on defense.
I've heard other coaches say the same thing about Rylie's Basketball IQ. Congratulations, Sr. Rylie Schenk of Fairfield, our KSEN/K96--Bozeman Trophy Female Athlete of the Week....sorry for the delay. The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald's in Cut Bank. McDonald's honors our Athlete's with two free value meals.
