The Wounded Warrior Project is a veterans service organization that offers a variety of programs, services & events for our wounded veterans. WWP's vision is to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history by raising awareness & enlisting the public's aid for the needs of injured veterans. There's also Wounded Warriors Family Support...this organization helps the families of those men & women who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations. It provides, FREE of charge, family-friendly retreats where wounded veterans, spouses, & children can reconnect with each other in a low-stress setting that they would otherwise not be able to afford. Have you heard about Hope For The Warriors? It was founded by military wives & their mission is to enhance the quality of life for post-911 service members who have sustained physical & psychological wounds in the line of duty. Services include career transition & education programs, health & wellness counseling, & community building initiatives for military families as they transition into civilian life. I'll be blogging again soon on this Veterans Day on more services & organizations for our veterans
