Virginia man Charged with Shelby church burglary

A 39-year old man from Virginia has made an initial appearance in Toole County Justice Court on a felony charge of burglary.

Charging documents allege that Brandon Belakovich broke into St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Shelby, Tuesday night, damaging inside doors and stole a laptop computer, projector and a number of other things.

No plea was entered and Belakovich remains in custody with bail set at 50-thousand dollars.  The charges are expected to be re-filed in District Court.
