Yellowstone Cemetery Construction Underway
There's GOOD NEWS to report this morning...the Department of Veterans Affairs has been awarded a cemetery expansion project to provide additional burial space to Yellowstone National Cemetery down in Laurel. This project will provide an additional 640 niches in a new columbarium wall & an additional 1200 in-ground cremation grave sites which will provide burial space for our veterans & their eligible dependents beyond 2040! Burial in a VA national cemetery is open to ALL members of the armed forces & veterans who have met minimum active duty service requirements & were discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. Even a spouse, widow or widower, minor children, &, under certain conditions, unmarried adult children with disabilities, may also be eligible for burial.
