Bears

Just a few years ago, this would have been a rare sight, but farmers and ranchers  are seeing more bears roaming the prairie here in the Golden Triangle. Brad Birch spotted these two on April 17, just a couple of miles west of Conrad near the Ron Warwick place.

Learning to live with bears, wolves and other predators is a main topic that will be addressed weekly on “The Wild Life”, a new report featuring wildlife experts from the USDA Fish & Wildlife Service and the Montana Dept. of Fish, Wildlife & Parks. Listen Wednesdays at 12:30pm on KSEN-am and K96-fm. Reports are repeated Thursday morning at 9:15 on KSEN,  Thursdays at 5:10am  and Sundays at 5:00am on K96.

Our thanks to Maggie Nutter and the Marias River Livestock Association for putting this program together.
