MSU Extension Offers Caregivers’ Training
Today roughly 2.2 million American households care for an adult with a chronic or terminal medical condition. Caring for someone can be physically, emotionally and financially draining. One of the sad statistics is that many caregivers become critically ill or die before the person they are caring for. This is because they put off taking care of themselves.
Pondera County Agent Wendy Wedum will be offering a class to the public called Powerful Tools for Caregivers.

Flood Advisory for Glacier County
The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for Glacier County, effective until noon on Saturday.
As of 10:00 this morning, small streams and creeks flowing out of the northern Rocky Mountain Front are near bankfull. Minor flooding is possible near small streams at times through Saturday morning.

Happy National Prime Rib Day!
Like National Pretzel Day earlier this week, I haven't a clue where National Prime Rib Day came from, but hey, it's prime rib, and who doesn't love that?
I used to think Lois Norris' 24-hour prime rib was the best I'd ever tasted, but a few friends and I celebrated New Year's Day with dinner at the Sports Club here in Shelby, and I do believe Matt's prime rib has edged Lois out of the top spot on my list.

Happy National Pretzel Day!
I haven't been able to find out who decided that April 26th should be National Pretzel Day, but I like pretzels, so we'll roll with it.
For that matter, the exact origin of this popular snack food is a matter for debate. The most often-told story is that an Italian monk invented 'pretiola' ("little rewards") in 610 AD to entice children to learn their prayers. Other food historians say it was a French priest, and still others say pretzels are derived from Greek or German breads.
