This past Monday a group of Montana Republicans announced that they would be attempting to put a Dark Money initiative on the statewide ballot in November 2014.  State Republican Senator Lew Jones is among those Republicans who think they're ought to be full disclosure over whose paying for ads that attack candidates and issues.

The real issue, Jones says, is that anyone has the right to say what they want but they ought to be willing to stand up and identify themselves.  Meanwhile, Jack Eaton, a Republican consultant says this issue has already been litigated and the Supreme court has ruled that individual disclosure is not required.  Eaton, quoted on the Northern Ag Network says "this is really about the guys who are trying to silence criticism of the things they're doing."

You can hear our entire interview with Senator Jones Thursday morning on This, that & the other beginning shortly after 9 am.
