Jon Bon Jovi isn’t spending his time recovering from recent knee surgery on his couch. The popular frontman is busy making movies, opening restaurants and now starring in pain medication commercials. That’s right, you can currently find Bon Jovi pitching the benefits of Advil.

“Pain doesn’t have much of a place in my life, I checked the schedule and it’s not on it,” he says laughing in the 30 second spot below. Fans get a glimpse of Bon Jovi on stage, hanging out with his son and giving orders inside a restaurant — presumably his new soul food restaurant in New Jersey.

“Life’s a juggling act, when I have to get through the pain, I know where to go.” Bon Jovi tore his MCL in June during a rainy show in Finland. It didn’t slow him down however, and he was able to finish the band’s 2011 tour schedule without having to postpone or cancel any shows. He was seen wearing a brace immediately after the surgery.
