BOZEMAN – The Montana State University Extension Urban Integrated Pest Management Program (IPM) is offering the workshop “Weed Identification for Landscape Professionals,” on Oct. 9 in Billings and Oct. 10 in Great Falls. There also will be an update of insects and disease on trees in 2012.

The 4-hour program is designed for those interested in weed control on landscapes and small acreage. Continuing education credits will be available for participants: four Certified Urban IPM Practitioner credits, or three commercial pesticide applicator continuing education credits. Participants in the Urban IPM Certification Program may register on the website (www.urbanipm.org).

Pre-registration is required, as classes are limited to 20 participants. Cost of the workshop is $30, with checks payable to Montana State University, and mailed to Linnea Skoglund, 121 Plant BioScience Building, Bozeman, MT 59717-3150.
