Play Ball! (And Run Fast…)

Thanks for giving me a few days off! I got a lot of yard work done, but my taxes…let’s just say I’m happy we have until the 17th this year!

I just wanted to remind you that our softball season gets underway in earnest tomorrow when Conrad comes to Shelby for an Eastern Conference matchup at 4:00. Shelby then hosts our other local team, Cut Bank, at 4:00 Thursday.  With four of only nine teams from the East going to state this year, and Huntley Project going 1-3 at a tournament last weekend at that Stillwater team getting shellacked by Lewistown 15-1, maybe they’ll be room for two or three of our teams at state this year! Bundle up and cheer on your favorite team this week, and I’ll get a score to update those who can’t make it for the 5:15 sports.

Also, good luck to the class C track teams in Havre Tuesday at the Cal Wearley meet. Looks like they’ll finally get some good weather and not have to postpone it like last year. A lot of our area tracksters will be in Cut Bank Thursday for their pre-Easter meet. Good luck this week!
