Winter and Your Pets.

 The cold weather is here again.  We know how the cold affects us....but we also have to think about our pets and livestock.  Here are a few tips to keep your animals warm and comfortable in the cold.

When the temperatures drop....think about letting your outdoor cats or dogs indoors. If  they are not inside..... make sure that they have a shelter that is clean, dry and well insulated with straw, a blanket or even wood shavings.

Your horses and other livestock need a windbreak or shelter they can go to.   Also make sure they have good bedding like a layer of  straw to keep off the cold ground.  Make sure they are well fed and have fresh water. 

Keep your pets and livestock healthy and safe this winter.
