Mark & Spencer, one of the UK’s leading retailers, are using a newly recorded cover version of the Beatles‘ ‘Here Comes The Sun’ in a television ad campaign titled ‘The Summer To Remember.’ The version used is by an artist named Gary Barlow. Barlow is a member of the UK vocal group Take That as well as one of the judges on the British edition of the ‘X Factor’ TV show.

Mike Campbell, guitarist for Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, has a new video documentary premiering online, taking viewers on a virtual tour of his guitar collection. Campbell is known to have quite a large collection of guitars, so this should be interesting viewing not only for Petty & Campbell fans, but for guitar aficionados in general.

Paul Stanley is kissing and telling, giving his take on Kiss‘s Rodney Dangerfield-esque “no respect” treatment from the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Stanley said “I don’t need validation from an organization where I don’t even know who is doing the voting,” adding a fact not talked about outside the inner circles, “There are board members who have said, ‘Kiss won’t get in as long as I’m alive.’”

Rev up that big ol’ jet airliner — the Steve Miller Band are back on the road. The tour, which will take the group through 10 countries in seven months, kicks off May 20th at the Doheny Blues Festival in California and winds down in Vienna, Austria on November 4th.
