    Golfing at Marias Valley

Grab the clubs and hit the links at Marias Valley! Golf is great exercise and it's a great family activity (as long as you watch your mouth). I'm a terrible golfer, so I would never want to go with kids! Nobody needs to see how bad I am at golf or hear the things it makes me say...

    Camping at Williamson Park

People love to camp! Did you ever notice how much better food tastes when you're camping out? I have always wondered why that is. Grab the tent and the kids and head out to Williamson Park - seven miles south of Shelby on the Frontage Road. There are 25 campsites available with Barbeques for that great tasting "camping food".

    Take a HIKE! No really....

Take a hike to St. Mary Falls. The trail begins on Going To The Sun Road at the St. Mary/Virginia Falls parking area. St. Mary Falls is one of the most photographed waterfalls in the park and the bridge just below it provides an excellent view. For a tad longer hike, head on to Virginia Falls just 0.6 mile past St. Mary Falls, so you can visit both in 3.6 miles of hiking. Virginia Falls is located at the foot of a hanging valley and is tall and narrow.

Spend the Day exploring Rock City near Valier

Rock City - A local undeveloped secret, sandstone formations or hoodoos which provide beautiful views and hours of uninterrupted exploration. One point overlooks the the point where Birch Creek merges with the Two Medicine River. Hiking along the river bed almost guarantees that you will discover fossils and petrified wood. The natural prairie grass also homes some original teepee rings.

    Backyard BBQ

Grab the grill and head out to your own back yard. Getting out there doesn't have to require a car ride, you can simply walk out your back door and be in the "great outdoors". Check out the Amazing Ribs site for some really delectable dishes that can be served to the family right outside the window.
