My wife and I went ice fishing on January 24th and 25th on Canyon Ferry Lake with a few close friends. Some might not agree but i thought It was great weather for some fishing. The temperature stayed in the lower 40's the first day and got up into the high 40's the second. It was a perch derby but also had prizes for the biggest walleye. I think the fish were avoiding our hooks because neither my wife or I got a single bite. I did talk to a few fisherman at the KOA campground that had a little better luck. One guy I talked to, his group caught 30 perch. They were biting mostly on maggots but also gobbled up a few worms. All in all it was a great experience. I met a lot of very nice people and If you have a chance to make it to Canyon ferry for some fishing i would highly recommend it.
