KSEN/K96 Bozeman Trophy Athletes of the Week for the second week in a row come from Valier and Choteau.
Our male Athlete of the Week has been an outstanding contributor for the past three years for the Bulldogs, especially in Basketball, but now making a big contribution on the Football field. Sr. Kolby Kovatch caught his 3rd and 4th Touchdown passes of the season in a key league game against G.F. Central Saturday afternoon. This was the first……..

The 6-ft., 160 pound Sr. caught a second TD pass later in the game and may have arguably been Choteau’s key offensive threat in a disappointing 41-20 loss to the Mustangs. On the day he had 12 catches for 106 yards and picked up an interception on defense.
Our female Athlete of the Week brought high praise from her coach Rhanda Eagle Speaker. Eagle Speaker noted that Valier lost the match to a tough Simms team but says her libero, Teanna Layne had an “amazing,” match.
The libero of course doesn’t come up with big numbers in kills, blocks or even assists but the coach says she had the best serve/receive percentage on the team and the Tigers in her words served hard at her, but Layne got the pass to the setter with an almost “perfect pass every time.”
The coach says “she worked hard and I couldn’t have been more proud as a coach.”
Congratulations to our KSEN/K96—Bozeman Trophy Athletes of the Week, Sr. Kolby Kovatch of the Choteau Bulldogs and Teanna Layne of the Valier Panthers. The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald’s in Cut Bank. McDonald’s honors our athlete’s with two free value meals each
