Our KSEN/K96 - Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week performances led to a winning weekend for their teams.
Our Male Athlete of the Week, coming off a State Championship Football season is now taking his game to the next level on the Basketball court.  CJI Sr. Ryland St. John opened the season with a 40-point night and added 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Ryland came back and scored 20 points in the Hawks 2nd game of the week and added 3 rebounds and 5 assists in just a little over 2 quarters of play against Highwood. CJI assistant Coach Brad Kammerzell says St. John, also had 4, three-point shots in that mix and has really improved his outside shot from last year.  He also has become explosive in getting to the rim, and electrified fans with 5 dunks in each of the two games. He is now just 7 points from reaching one-thousand career points.
We also had a solid nomination this week for So. wrestler Blake Hodgskiss of Choteau. Blake is coming off a dislocated elbow injury from the Divisionals a year ago and had a 2nd place finish, moving up a class at 138 in the Cascade Invitational.   Back at 132, he won the Championship in Superior last weekend.
Our Female Athlete of the Week opened the season with a career night scoring. Choteau So. Rylynn Allaire, made 7 of 9 three-point shots leading the Bulldogs with 21 points in a win over Anaconda. The Lady Dawgs also beat Three Forks in their 2nd game and Head Coach Matt Cornelius says he was really happy with his team's defense which he called "outstanding," and said Allaire was a big part of that.
