Our first KSEN/K96--Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week from the winter sports comes from the Wrestling arena.
A strong 2nd place finish by Choteau at the Cascade Invitational was led by two seniors who won championships as expected and possibly an unexpected 8th grader wrestling in his 1st varsity meet. The Choteau Coaching staff says, 8th grader Tate Crabb, wrestling at 103 pounds pinned his way thru all three of his matches and won the championship in his first-ever H.S. meet. All 3 of Tate's opponents were older high school wrestlers from Fairfield, Deer Lodge and Red Lodge, and again he won all three of those by pins.......two of them in less than 2-minutes.
Choteau Head Coach Chuck DeBoo says, "Tate works extremely hard in the wrestling room, is focused and serious and a great addition to the Choteau team." The two Sr.'s who won Championships for Choteau were: Asher Clayton at 132-lbs and Nathan Gunderson at 157-lbs.
Congratulations to our KSEN/K96--Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week, 8th grader, Tate Crabb of Choteau.  The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald's in Cut Bank. McDonald's honors our Athlete's with two free value meals. KSEN encourages all Fans, Parents and Coaches to nominate Athletes of the Week when you believe they have achieved an outstanding performance.
