It's "National Park Week" all this week, April 21st through the 29th. All 397 of your national parks are offering FREE admission all week long. Not to copy Sarah Palin, but I can see Glacier Park from my back porch! With this coming week's record high temperatures, what a great week to drive over to Glacier, our Crown Jewel. And next Saturday, April 28th, is "National Junior Ranger Day" and all the parks are extending an invitation to young visitors to "explore, learn, protect" as the participating young folks will be sworn in as Junior Rangers. I invite you to check out the website: www.nationalparkweek.org and learn all about the ways you can help support our national parks all year round. I've blogged before that we are all so fortunate to live here in the Golden Triangle and our proximity to Glacier National Park is just one more reason. By the way, if you can't come over in April, June 9th is the next day that all the parks, Glacier included, will waive entrance fees as we celebrate "Get Outdoors Day". And if you're looking for outdoor clothing to wear that day, check with my friend Jim Anderson at Grizzly Sports in Choteau. Jim likes the outdoors. The National Park Service is proud to once again join with the National Park Foundation, the official charity of America's national parks, to present National Park Week. Come on out and enjoy!
