Our KSEN/K96 -- Bozeman Trophy Athletes of the Week once again had some outstanding performances on the Track & field. Our Male Athlete of the Week is sort of a newcomer to the elite sprinters from around the area.   CJI Jr. Benedikt Syrbe pre-qualified his entry into the State Meet later this year in the 100m, 200m & the 400m. He won the 100m and the 200m at the very competitive meet at Manhattan Christian in Bozeman.  In that 200m with a time of 23.01 Benedikt has the best time recorded in Class C this year.  He finished 2nd in the 400m and was just 5-hundreths of a second behind 1st place. Syrbe also ran a leg on the CJI 400 relay team which finished 2nd.  All of his times in the sprints were personal bests for the season and a big part of his efforts helped the CJI Hawks to a 4th place team finish out of 19 at the meet.

Our Female Athlete of the Week was also huge in her role for the Team finish at the Columbia Falls Invitational.  Sunburst Sr. Nikki Nau, an All-State X-country runner, picked up victories in the 3200m and the 1600m.   She was 4th in the 800m and continues to be among the top distance runners in the State. In the team standings, as we mentioned earlier this week with just 3 athletes', including Nau, Claire Bucklin, and Ella Samsal, Sunburst finished 5th out of the 13 teams entered.

Congratulations to our KSEN/K96--Bozeman Trophy Athletes of the Week, CJI Jr. Benedikt Syrbe, and Sunburst Sr. Nikki Nau.  The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald's in Cut Bank. McDonald's honors our Athlete's with two free value meals each.
