The final question as to the lineup of the E Street Band was answered today when Bruce Springsteen released the names of the extra musicians who will be joining the group on their upcoming ‘Wrecking Ball’ world tour.

The Boss has chosen to fill the shoes of the late Clarence ‘Big Man’ Clemons with a full horn section comprised of Curt Ramm (trumpet),  Clark Gayton (trombone) and Barry Danielian (trumpet). Saxophone duties will be filled by Eddie Manion and Jake Clemons, the Big Man’s nephew. In addition, Curtis King and Cindy Mizelle will reprise their roles on 2009′s ‘Working On A Dream’ tour as backup singers.

Manion’s association with Springsteen extends all the way back to their days playing bars along the Jersey Shore. He was a longtime member of the Miami Horns, the name given to the brass players in the Asbury Jukes, the backup band for Springsteen pal Southside Johnny. The Miami Horns previously toured with Springsteen in 1976 and 1988, and have made numerous guest appearances with him over the years, including the halftime show at Super Bowl XLIII in 2009.

Ramm and Gayton, along with Manion, were part of the traveling hootenanny known as the Sessions Band that toured with Springsteen behind his 2006 ‘We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions’ album. Ramm also joined the E Street Band for the last few dates of the ‘Working On A Dream’ Tour.

In addition to playing the saxophone, Jake Clemons is a singer, songwriter and guitarist who released a 6-song EP, ‘It’s On,’ in Feb. 2011. Danielian is new to the Springsteen fold, but is a respected jazz musician who has also worked with Blood, Sweat and Tears, Billy Joel and Paul Simon.

Springsteen’s new album, ‘Wrecking Ball,’ will be released on March 6, with the tour beginning on March 18 in Atlanta.
