Jane Lynch opened the 63rd Emmy Awards with a song and dance number that took the audience through the world of television, reimagined as an inner-city apartment building housing all the top TV shows. Lynch walked through scenes of hit series like ‘Mad Men‘ (where she was asked to leave the room when she informed Don Draper that in 50 years people would be fast-forwarding through commercials) and

The stars of the small screen turned out for the 2011 Emmy Awards in Los Angeles Sunday evening, dressed to the nines for television’s big night. Taking a cue from the carpet’s hue, starlets like Lea Michele (‘Glee’), Nina Dobrev (‘The Vampire Diaries’) and Kate Winslet (‘Mildred Pierce’) showed up in red gowns and trains were in too, with actresses including Kristen Wiig (‘Saturday Night Live’),

Who doesn't remember the first time they heard that tune by the Lettermen. Or how about "The Way You Look Tonight" or "Come Back Silly Girl". Like a lot of you, I grew up with these guys. In fact, they did a show at my high school back in the early 60's. (I started 1st grade when I was two, I'm not really this old! The Lettermen are celebrating over 49 years in the music indust

With this Sunday marking the 10th anniversary of perhaps the worst tragedy our country has ever experienced, I thought I would put in a call to my friend Peter Franklin, better known as the Gabby Cabby, that wacky New York City cab driver who's been a frequent guest on the Puffman Show for the past 13 years here in Shelby and before that, probably 10 years when I was working on the East Coast... This coming Sunday, September 11th, we are all being encouraged to display an American flag outside our homes, apartments, offices, and stores. I found myself watching some "clips" last evening on CNN and living it all over again.
Where were you on 9/11?
I'm really looking forward to my special guest tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at 4:35 on the Puffman Show. She's Janette Reynolds from the Flathead Valley. Janette was born and raised in the Motor City (not to be confused with Car Town) and spent the first part of her career entrenched in the competitive world of automotive engineering...

Many television networks will no longer air the most devastating moments of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center, lest it upset the families of the thousands of people who lost their lives that day. But Understanding 9/11: A Television News Archive feels that that footage is essential as a “resource for scholars, journalists, and the public,” and has archived 3,000 hours of it,
