COMMITTEE IN SHELBY HAS RECEIVED A VERY GENEROUS PRE-CHRISTMAS GIFT.

                COMMITTEE MEMBER BOB LONGCAKE SAYS JIM AND AMELIA HERMAN OF

SACRAMENTO, CA HAS GIFTED THE FORMER J.C. PENNEY, COAST TO COAST, HARDWARE

HANK BUILDING ON MAIN ST. TO THE FLAG COMMITTEE.

                THE COMMITTEE WILL ATTEMPT TO SELL THE BUILDING AND PLACE THE FUNDS

IN THE TOOLE COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION ENDOWMENT.   BASICALLY THE

FUND WOULD TAKE CARE OF FLYING THE VETERANS MEMORIAL FLAG IN SHELBY, FOREVER.

                JIM HERMAN IS A RETIRED AIR FORCE VETERAN WHO PILOTED COUNTLESS SUPPLY

MISSIONS INTO VIETNAM AND LONGCAKE SAYS AFTER ATTENDING THE 2005 FLAG CEREMONY

DEDICATION WAS IMPRESSED BY THE PROJECT AND WANTED TO HELP.

                THE COMMITTEE WILL OFFER THE MAIN ST. BUSINESS BUILDING FOR SALE AT ANY

REASONABLE OFFER, LONGCAKE SAYS AND INQUIRIES CAN BE MADE AT HIGH PLAINS

REALTY.

                THE BUILDING HAS A RELATIVELY NEW ROOF AND FURNACES AND WILL BE USED

BY THE LOCAL VFW POST UNTIL SOLD.
