State game wardens are seeking information regarding the poaching of a white-tailed deer buck on the Marias River upstream of Tiber Dam in northcentral Montana.

The deer was discovered Oct. 11 near the Marias River in an area known as Robertson Bottom, 10 miles southeast of Shelby.

The deer had its head and back straps removed but all other meat was left on the carcass. It is believed to have been killed the week before October 11th

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call Fish, Wildlife and Parks game warden Mike Krings, 788-0329, or 1-800-TIPMONT. Informants are kept confidential and maybe eligible for a reward.
