How’s The Harvest In The Golden Triangle
I received a report this morning (Friday) that "Touring Todd" and the custom cutter crew blew into Conrad yesterday and the day before. I understand that road construction made for a long move from the Forsyth and Billings area. At least that's what they're saying. I suspect they may have stopped by the Gollehon place east of Brady for one of those all night poker sessions. I don't honestly know, Gary ain't talking! The courteous custom crew is cutting winter wheat east of Conrad and also down in the Choteau area, but the fellows of fall are waiting this morning due to those overnight showers. I think it goes without saying that a little respite in the hot weather will be much appreciated by all. I checked our forecast this morning for the Shelby area, and I note that today's high should only hit 70 but we'll no doubt be back to 80 tomorrow and up to 90 on Sunday. From my vantage point, spring crops in the area are ripening slowly, with some barley appearing ready to harvest. Before we know it, they'll be a nip in the evening air and hopefully perfect weather for fall football. I think one of the nicest things about living in Montana, is the changing of seasons. Beautiful! Wouldn't have it any other way. What is your favorite season? I'd like to hear from you. I'm the Puffman.
