Is There A Dr In The House

There sure is…he’s renowned New York City plastic surgeon & nonfiction author Dr. Gerald Imber & the good doctor makes his fiction debut with “Wendell Black, MD” set for nationwide release next month (February!) & I’m giving an “Advance copy” of the book away this afternoon (Monday) on Puffman Musical Trivia at 4:30. Inspired by Dr. Imber’s own experience as an honorary New York Police Department surgeon, this thriller introduces Dr. Wendell Black, who works as an NYPD medical surgeon in the clinic at One Police Plaza. When he’s not at the NYPD clinic, he moonlights in the ER of a Westchester hospital & tends to his beloved dog, Tonto. When a fellow passenger suffers a cardiac arrest on a return flight from London, Dr,. Black’s attempts to save her place him unwittingly at the center of an international drug-smuggling investigation. His girlfriend, Alice, a beautiful English plastic surgeon, introduces Black to a former colleague, Dr. Farzan, who shares some suspicions about the involvement of certain Bristish doctors in the drug ring. After Dr. Farzan is brutally murdered & Alice suddenly disappears, it’s clear the 2 doctors were closer to the truth than they knew-& the NYPD starts looking to Black for answers. What follows is an exciting roller coaster ride driven by drug runners, corrupt cops, & terrorists. AND…we think there’s problems in our local health care system!! Check out “Wendell lack, MD” from Bourbon Street Books/HarperCollins Publisher @ & listen to WIN this afternoon on Puffman Musical Trivia. Being the “Sports nut” that I am (my middle name IS “Sports”), I’ll be asking a musical trivia question this afternoon pertaining to the Super Bowl. See you at 4:30 today on Puffman Musical Trivia!
