Dwindling #’s results in Sunburst forfeit

Sunburst School superintendent Tim Tharp is apologizing to Simms and the Northern C Division for having to forfeit this coming Saturday night's varsity football game against the Tigers.

Tharp says "due to the short numbers, injuries and a recent surgery for one their student-athletes, the Refiners will have to forfeit the Saturday night game.  He said they are planning on playing the Jr. High game that afternoon at 4:30.

Tharp also said that the school has already submitted paperwork to the Montana High School Association requesting re-assignment to the 6-man football league starting next year.
