Our KSEN/K96 -- Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week started the H.S. Softball season off with a bang on the road last weekend. Conrad/Choteau Cowdogs Sr. Tessa Brownell from Choteau had a hot bat in the Conrad win over Glasgow 27-17.    Brownell, the leadoff hitter in the team's lineup not only went 6-7 at the plate, but she also scored 4 runs, had 5 RBI's, 3 doubles and a stolen base. Conrad Head Coach Tyson Anderson said she hit the ball really well and when you score 27 runs, somebody's leading the way. Conrad didn't fare as well against Shepherd in their 2nd game, but Brownell still maintained a .667 batting average and on-base-percentage.   The Conrad/Choteau team is the defending Class B/C State Champions with two key losses to graduation, including pitcher Maggie Bender. Tessa Brownell was also a 1st Team All-Conference, All-State selection in Volleyball.

Congratulations to our KSEN/K96--Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week, Sr. Tessa Brownell of the Conrad/Choteau Softball team.  The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald's in Cut Bank. McDonald's honors our Athlete's with two free value meals each. KSEN encourages fans, parents and coaches to nominate an Athlete of the Week when you believe they have had an above average performance.  E-mail: markdaniels@townsquaremedia.com
