"Surviving Survival-The Art and Science of Resilience" is the name of the book I'll be giving away tomorrow morning (Saturday) at 7:30 on Puffman Sports Trivia. Laurence Gonzales is the author of this page turner about sailors Debbie Kiley & Brad Cavanagh stranded at sea for 5 days without supplies for survival. The pair witnessed the tragic death of their captain & 2 crew members as they were unable to withstand the nearly irresistible urge of dehydration. After drinking seawater on their 3rd day shipwrecked, they went mad within 24 hours & jumped off the side of the boat to their death. Debbie & Brad subsequently made a pact to look after one another & survive. On the 5th day, a miracle occurred.
