Athlete of the Week
KSEN/K96—Bozeman Trophy Athletes of the Week are improving their skills week by week and showing the results on the court in Valier and on the football field in Choteau.
Female Athlete of the Week honors go to Valier Jr. Erica Ramsey. Despite two tough losses for the Panthers last week, Ramsey is improving game by game in her hitting and blocking skills and stepping up from the back line on defense. According to her nominator, the Jr. has become a great asset to the Panthers team effort. The numbers bring more evidence. In Valier’s two matches last week, Ramsey tallied 4 blocks and had a nearly 93-percent hitting percentage, getting the ball across the net and an 81-percent serving average. She also recorded 12 kills and contributed 11 digs. One observer says she has a great attitude, is a team player and is always eager to learn new skills and improve her play.
Our Male Athlete of the Week, was certainly the story of the night as Choteau won their second straight conference game of the year over CJI. While the final score appeared to show a Choteau route, the bulldogs had just a 2-point lead after three quarters. That’s when Sr. Kyler Crabtree put the game on his shoulders, first with this 20-yard run early in the 4th.

That was the 1st of three late-game Td’s for Crabtree. The next was a pick-six on CJI’s last hope drive and for the icing on the cake a 9yd run with just :52 left that gave Choteau a 46-24 win. In all, Kyler ran for 226 yards on 26 carries.
Congratulations to our KSEN/K96—Bozeman Trophy Athlete’s of the Week, Jr. Erica Ramsey of Valier and Sr. Kyler Crabtree of Choteau. The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald’s in Cut Bank. McDonald’s honors our Athlete’s of the Week with two free value meals each.
