Athletes of the Week
Our KSEN/K96 Bozeman Trophy Athletes of the Week are multiple winners of the award already, but they are a couple of the best athletes in the golden triangle.
Male athlete of the week honors go to Choteau senior Taner Stone. Taner qualified in three events for last week's top ten meet in Great Falls and placed in all three with third place in the 300M hurdles and the high jump and fifth in the long jump. In the 8C/10C Preview meet last weekend, Taner set a personal best in the long jump at 20 feet five and a half inches. He was first in the 300M hurdles, second in the highjump and third in the 200M. He had 24 of Choteau's 25 team points.
Female Athlete of the week honors, for the second time this year go to Shelby sophomore Skyler Martin. Skyler recovered from a couple of rough outings to card one of her best scores ever at Marias Valley, an 80. She won individual medalist honrs and led the Shelby girls' team to the team championship. Skyler finished third in the state as a freshman and with the state tournament at her home course next week, the future looks bright, Skyler might want to wear some shades.
Congratulations to our KSEN/K96 - Bozeman Trophy Athletes of the Week; senior Taner Stone of Choteau and sophomore Skyler Martin of Sheby. The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald's in Cut Bank. McDonald's honors our athletes with two free value meals each.
