Our First Athletes of the Week for 2020 – 2021
OUR FIRST KSEN/K96 BOZEMAN TROPHY ATHLETE’S OF THE WEEK ARE CERTAINLY ATHLETE’S THAT ARE EXPECTED TO HAVE A BIG IMPACT ON THEIR TEAM’S SUCCESS ALL SEASON LONG.
RETURNING 1ST TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE MIDDLE HITTER AND BLOCKER TATUM HULL OF THE CJI LADY HAWKS GOT OFF TO A ROARING FOR THE NEW SEASON. IN A 3-0 SWEEP OVER SUNBURST, HULL POUNDED DOWN 20 KILLS, HAD 7 BLOCKS, 34 DIGS AND 4 ASSISTS.
HULL IS ALSO AN ALL-CONFERENCE BASKETBALL PLAYER AND A TOP NOTCH PERFORMER IN TRACK AND FIELD WHICH SHE WAS UNABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN LAST SPRING DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS. SHE IS AN HONOR ROLL STUDENT IN THE CLASSROOM.
OUR MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK, PLAGUED WITH SOME INJURIES AT THE END OF LAST SEASON, IS APPARENTLY HEALTHY AGAIN. SR. RUNNING BACK DREW GINTHER HAD 75 YARDS RUSHING WITH 2 OF THE CARRIES FOR TD’S. HE ALSO CAUGHT TWO TD PASSES FROM CONRAD QB CADEN HUNTSINGER.
HE’S ALSO A STARTER AT STRONG SAFETY ON THE DEFENSIVE SIDE AND 1ST YEAR HEAD COACH PAUL SCHILLING SAID HE REALLY DID HAVE A STRONG OVERALL GAME AS THE COWBOYS OPENED WITH A WIN 46-8 OVER DEER LODGE
